In my last post I told you a little about the bloodiest day in American history, the Battle of Antietam and showed some pictures from the actual battlefield. Now I’m going to share pictures from the reenactment.

Special thanks to Stephen Hardman from Hagerstown, MD for emailing me all the Antietam pictures! Photos that say Stephen Hardman were taken by him. All photo editing and color effects was my doing.
Great Photos — Thanks “FD.” I am always particularly impressed by the Antietam Battlefield because it (and the surrounding area) is so little changed from the fateful days of September, 1862. The re-enactment looks very authentic. Authenticity — that’s the same reason I like the Heifer Barn, too!

Glad you liked the photos Mr. Allan! I agree that the relatively unchanged landscape at Antietam is wonderful. The great news is they are trying to restore the sight even more to it’s original state.
P.S. the heifers love you too!
LOVE that second picture!! And I also love the picture of you with Sgt. Clarence and the one of you being an ice angel, and I really love all the pictures!! So awesome!
